Welcome 2014

We began this new year with a road trip to the Northern California Coast.  There were many adventures to be found with great friends exploring new places.
This was the first road trip in Danny's new road trip vehicle.  There was plenty of leg room for all of us.
We decided to visit two love birds living close to Carmel and we went to the beach to watch the sun set.  Of course the boys were up for an adventure wherever we went.
Jumping into a new year ... or just jumping off a sand cliff -- either way make that jump great!
After jumping off this cliff many times, pretending they were running away from some creature from the Hobbit movie these crazy boys thought they could see how close they could get to the water.  Of course both of them ended up in the water drenched.
Cody learned a great lesson of why it is not a great idea to leaver your iPod in your pocket when you are running and jumping off sand cliffs.  Luckily he found it in the dark when Daddy and Sergio too him back to look for it.

What is it in a boy to not feel the cold waters and air of December 30th in Nor Cal?  When they were done playing in the water they were a little cold and ready for dry clothes which were back at the house.

For the last day of 2013 we did some beautiful hikes.  The first one we saw whales, otters, seals, and dolphins.

After tailgating for lunch we took off for another amazing hike.  It started out very dry and deserty and then before you know it you end up in a lush redwood forrest.  Cody said it was like finding a magical forrest.

We took Thor with us on this hike and he loved running free and exploring too.

To end the year and day we went to a cute small theater to watch the Hobbit 2 with our friends.

2014 started with hiking through the caves at Pinacales state park.  We all had so much fun exploring how these boulders created caves to journey through.

Thor is really a mountain goat dog.  He must have thought he was at doggy Disneyland as he got to hike through the caves with us.

It was a fun start for whatever lies ahead for us in 2014.
